AWARD WINNING CHEF DEREK
Twisted Pantry Bistro & Catering has served up satisfied smiles across Alberta since 2003, but Chef Derek was in the kitchen long before starting his catering business. Derek got his start in the restaurant industry when he was only 12 years old, and he enrolled in culinary school at a later age. He now has more than 25 years of experience under his chef hat, with extensive knowledge in food service sales, banquets, a la carte operations, restaurants and resorts. Before founding Twisted Pantry Catering, Chef Derek worked at facilities that hosted Major League Baseball games, as well as NFL and NHL events. He was also the sous chef at the Calgary Saddledome from 2001 to 2005 and appeared on Chopped Canada in the 2014 “Pressed for Ham” episode. Now Derek can be found preparing comfort food with a twist at the Bistro as well as catering local events!
